The entire treatment usually takes three or four weeks. This means having a regular application, made at home, for a period of two up to four weeks, for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. Anyway, there are new products which can be applied for eight hours at a time. This means that they obtain satisfactory results within one week.

What other whitening procedures are there?
To date, there is also laser whitening or the “electric whitening". During this treatment, a light beam or a laser beam are directed to the tooth in order to trigger chemical reactions. The light beam hurries the chemical reaction of the whitening product and the colour change can be obtained a lot faster. Laser whitening can determine a tooth whitening of five to six shades. This procedure usually takes one hour.
